New to TAC 2021 - Satellite Series!

The Athletic Campus is committed to providing the best programming in the Rochester area. We are excited to announce new to the Athletic Campus for the upcoming 2021-2022 indoor season is the launch of our Satellite Series of holiday soccer tournaments! We will be hosting Six different tournaments on various holidays throughout the indoor season all leading up to the TAC Invitational at the End of April.

Each holiday tournament will host age brackets from U9 – U13/14 for both boys and girls. Most divisions will be played in a 2-hour block with the exception of a few that will be played in a 4-hour block. Each division will play 3 games in a round-robin style bracket. The top 2 teams will play in a championship game and the bottom two will play a consolation game. All teams are guaranteed 4 games in each tournament. The champions of each division in each tournament will automatically receive an invitation to the final tournament at the end of April. Teams will also have the chance to receive an invitation based on the number of points they have from games played throughout multiple tournaments.

What is the Satellite Series?

The Satellite Series is our holiday soccer series of tournaments. Each major holiday throughout the indoor season we will host a tournament for teams to come in and play • Halloween Cup • Turkey Cup • Santa Games • Kisses Cup • March Midnight Madness • Easter Games • The TAC Invitational

What are the age groups offered and what level of teams are the tournaments hosted for?

We host divisions specifically for U9 to U13/14 for both boys and girls. Our tournaments are promoted for recreation and travel level teams. All premier teams are required to play a minimum 2 age groups up or may be placed in the appropriate division at the discretion of the Director of Programming.

What is the format and layout of each tournament?

Each division will host 4 teams. Each team will play 3 – 25-minute games in a round robin style bracket. After the 3 games are played and the points calculated, the top two teams will play in a championship game and the bottom two in a consolation game. All teams will play 4 games. Most of the divisions for each tournament will be played in a 2-hour time block with the exception of a couple divisions that will be played over a 4-hour time block. All games are played consecutive and are running clock.

What is the price per team? Are there multi-team or multi-tournament discounts?

We at The Athletic Campus are committed to providing the best overall tournament experience at the most cost-effective rates in the industry. The price per team for our U9 and U10 divisions are set at $200 per team. Our U11+ divisions are set at $225 per team. Clubs or Teams who register for 3 or more different tournaments will receive $25 discount per team.

Is there a prize for winning the division?

Yes! There are two prizes. The winner of each division for each tournament will receive championship shirts. In addition, the champions of each division will automatically have a place reserved for their team in the final tournament of the series, The TAC Invitational.

What is the TAC Invitational tournament? And how is it different from the other tournaments in the series?

The TAC Invitational in a way is the tournament of champions. Teams who win their division in tournaments throughout the series will automatically receive an invitation and a spot in this tournament.

Is there any other way to be invited to the TAC Invitational tournament without winning the division?

Yes! In addition to winning your division and receiving an automatic spot, The Athletic Campus will be keeping a master standings table that will encompass points won and generated from each tournament. Based on the number of teams and spots available in the final tournament, teams may receive an invitation to the tournament based on the amount of points that they earn over the course of the tournaments they participate in

My team has won the division for one of your tournaments, will we receive another spot in the tournament if we were to win again?

We hope to have everyone back participating in multiple tournaments. You will only be able to receive one spot per team for the TAC Invitational. In the event one team wins multiple tournaments, that spot reserved in the TAC Invitational will be awarded as part of the final overall standings. Teams who participate and do not win the tournament, will still be eligible and have the opportunity to receive an invitation to the final tournament based on the number of points won.

My team has been invited to the TAC Invitational but we may be missing some players, can we roster substitutes?

No. All teams invited to the final tournament will be required to play with the team they won with in the series. All teams will be required to submit a written roster and all players are required to join their respective team online prior to the start of their tournament. All rosters are time stamped and freeze following the start of the tournament they participated in during the series. Any team found with ineligible athletes participating in the TAC Invitational will automatically forfeit their game. Each team and every game may be subject to roster checks at the discretion of the Director of Programming.
